Telepo featured in announcement of Sun GlassFish Portfolio
Stockholm, February 10, 2009
Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: JAVA) today announced new enterprise customers and service providers, who are leveraging products in the Sun GlassFish Portfolio to grow their businesses and develop innovative solutions. Based on GlassFish, the industry’s most downloaded application server, the Sun GlassFish Portfolio is the most complete, open source, high-performance Web platform, resulting in increased productivity and faster time to market.
“The Telepo team has expertise in developing SIP applications since the very early days of SIP and we utilize the benefits of the protocol fully. Therefore we haven’t been able to use any closed source SIP stacks or application servers due to the limited maturity of these,” said Jörgen Björkner, CTO, Telepo . “With SailFin we could contribute our expertise, which is an important requirement for us to move from an in-house platform to a standard application server. It has been great to work with Sun as the company understands our needs and deliver a product that is easy to integrate, standards-based and with carrier-grade reliability.”
