Gartner upgrades Telepo
Stockholm, April 15, 2010
Stockholm, 15 April – Respected analyst house Gartner this week recognised Telepo’s increasing presence in the Unified Communications industry by upgrading its rating in the latest MarketScope for the Enterprise Mobile Communication Gateway report.
The annual report researches mobile integration/unified communication within enterprises. Described by Gartner as a ‘maturing market’, vendors are rated on a scale of Strong Negative to Strong Positive, with no company yet achieving a Strong Positive rating. Telepo is now rated as promising, improving on last year’s position.
Telepo CEO Lars Wahlström said: “Gartner is a very important voice within the IT industry and it is good for Telepo that it has recognised the great strides we have made over the last year. In that time, we have secured our first tier one ‘telco’ service provider, TeliaSonera, as a channel partner and we believe we have one of the best unified communications solutions on the market. Enterprises are looking for business systems, like Telepo’s, that take advantage of cloud computing and offer SaaS.
“However, we will not be satisfied until we are rated as Strong Positive and will be working flat out to ensure the next generation of the solution is even better.”
According to the report: ‘Companies need to be aware of the benefits of mobile Unified Communication (UC) and Fixed Mobile Convergence, the maturity of the products available and how mobile UC will drive the adoption of UC and the replacement of wired telephony for mobile users in the next five years. Instead of being chained to the desk, users will be free to conduct business in a mobile environment, yet maintain enterprise functionality in wireless devices.’
