GSM Suomi selects IBM Mobile IP Communication platform powered by Telepo

The Finnish operator GSM Suomi has selected the IBM Mobile IP Communication platform for its enterprise customer offering. The platform is based on Telepo's Business Communication Solution 3.2, integrating mobile phones, fixed phones and IP phones to one enterprise communication solution. The order is valued to 7,2 MEUR over four years.

GSM Suomi will be able to offer advanced services to enterprise customers, including converged fixed, mobile and IP based communication. The platform offers a uniform set of services and usability on all devices and across all networks. It can be integrated with existing infrastructure and all communication services can be managed centrally.

GSM Suomi has approximately 30,000 users and estimate that a substantial number of those will be using the Telepo software solution in 2008. GSM Suomi has estimated that 75 enterprises will immediately start using the services.

Telepo supplies the software and licenses, and IBM is responsible for the implementation and operations of the services. The agreement is for four years.
