Telepo appoints Lars Wahlström as new CEO
At Oracle, Lars Wahlström led the construction of its Telecoms business as Group Vice President for the Global Telecom and Media Industry Business Unit. In addition, he was responsible for Supply Chain and Master Data Management within the EMEA region.
Commenting on the hire, Hans Ahlinder, Chairman of the Board for Telepo, emphasized that this is a strategic recruitment. ”Lars Wahlström joins us from one of the largest and most profitable IT companies in the world, and he has managed several acquisitions of telecoms and media companies. Lars Wahlström has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Stockholm. He has a large family with five children and enjoys outdoor sports, such as bicycling, canoeing and sailing.
Lars-Michaël Paqvalén, co-founder and previous CEO of Telepo, is moving on to be the CEO of Global Wallet. He still remains a member of the Board of Directors as well as one of the main share holders of Telepo.
