Telepo appoints Patrik Sörqvist as Vice President Support & Supply

Patrik joins Telepo from Global IP Sound (GIPS), where he has been since it was founded in 1999. Global IP Sound is a leading company in speech processing and IP telephony with clients such as Cisco, Skype, Nortel, Yahoo, AOL and Google.
In his role as new Vice President Support & Supply, Patrik Sörqvist will have the overall responsibility for delivery, logistics, quality management, internal IT infrastructure and support at Telepo. Patrik will be part of the Executive Management Team to ensure world-class quality of customer relationship and satisfaction.
Telepo is pioneering enterprise mobility and converged communication solutions. For example, Telepo Softphone+, a virtual mobile phone that uses state-of-the-art voice encoding technology from Global IP Sound.

At Global IP Sound, Patrik Sörqvist held several senior positions, most recently as Vice President Customer Engineering. He has been a member of the Senior Management Team since 1999.
He has more than 10 years of experience in speech processing, echo cancellation and VoIP. Prior to Global IP Sound, Patrik Sörqvist was Area Manager, Quality of Service, at Ericsson Telecom and in Audio and Visual Technology Research at Ericsson Research.
Patrik holds a Master of Science Degree in electrical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He is a well-known conference speaker and owns several granted technology patents.
